Dr Kalaaji is elected as National Secretaries Assistant Chair for ISAPS, 2022-2024. Elected National Secretary for ISAPS in Norway for second term.

Dr Kalaaji is an active ISAPS, ASAPS, ISPRES, Norwegian aesthetic plastic surgery society member, chair of the Norwegian American Aesthetic Meeting (NAAM 1-5) in Oslo Norway.

Immediate past BOD member and chairman of membership committee of the International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgery (ISPRES) 2020-2022.

He is just published as Editor-in-chief a 2 volumes book: Plastic and Aesthetic Regenerative Surgery and Fat Grafting. Clinical Application and Operative Techniques. This book—with its 117 chapters, approximately 2000 pages, 1625 educational figures, and 131 videoclips—proudly represents the knowledge and expertise of 242 authors (including 72 female colleagues), from 31 countries and 5 continents.

Dr Kalaaji’s current focus is on plastic and aesthetic regenerative surgery and fat grafting, aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring, including aesthetic breast augmentation/implants conversion and hybrid with fat grafting; inverted nipples; intimate genital female rejuvenation surgery; gluteal augmentation with fat (BBL), rhinoplasty, and quality of life (QoL) after aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Kalaaji has published many peer-reviewed scientific papers and has presented more than 450 lectures, global courses, and invited-speaker lectures in plastic and aesthetic surgery worldwide, such as for ASAPS, ISAPS, ISPRES, IMCAS, and many national, regional, and international aesthetic surgery meetings.

He currently serves on the editorial boards for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (the Blue Journal, also section editor) of ISAPS, Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery, European Journal of Plastic Surgery and Acta Chirurgiae Plasticae
